The above photo is of Rose Anne, a landowner who worked with NSEA to remove a barrier culvert on her property in 2016.

She had never seen a salmon in the 30+ years she lived along this tributary of Goodwin Creek.

Coho returned almost immediately after project completion.

In November 2018, Rose Anne reported seeing nine coho in one hour.

November 2019, she heard them return just as she was settling for the night. The next morning, she counted 77 in the time she was watching.

Rose Anne doesn’t count the salmon anymore. Now she sits on her deck and listens to the eagles chortle in the tree tops, their bellies full of salmon.

Become a monthly donor

Why make monthly gifts?

It's sustained support. Recurring gifts help us plan for the future and increases the scale of the work it takes to help recover salmon.

Peer to peer fundraiser

Peer-to-peer fundraising is when individuals organize personal campaigns to collect donations from their peers. These fundraisers can include asking for donations via crowdfunding, throwing occasion-specific fundraisers (like birthdays fundraisers), and participating in events like team fun runs. Send Amy your idea and we will help you make it a reality. ajohnson@n-sea.org

IRA Rollover

Make a stock donation

If you are 70 1/2 or older, you are eligible to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) or “rollover gift”. To learn more, contact your financial advisor.

By donating stock that has appreciated for more than a year, you get a larger tax deduction
than if you sold the stock and then made a cash donation.

Make an everlasting gift with NSEA

There are many ways to make your gift everlasting. You can contribute to one of NSEA’s endowment funds. Pick the fund that aligns with your philanthropic goals and your gift will grow with the market.

You can make a bequest gift through NSEA’s planned giving program. Meet with us to share your dreams. We will walk you through the options and ensure that the future NSEA knows what to do to create your legacy. Please contact Rachel Vasak: rvasak@n-sea.org or Amy Johnson: ajohnson@n-sea.org to learn more.
