It’s easier to care about a place after you’ve touched it - and easier still after it has touched you.

Community Work Parties

You can help to restore stream-side habitat for salmon!

Every Spring and Fall NSEA host’s work parties at restoration sites around Whatcom County.  Most work parties take place on Saturday mornings from 9 am to noon.

All ages are welcome!

Any unaccompanied volunteers under 18 years old must bring a completed Liability Release Form to each work party. Minors under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Bring your friends, your family and your enthusiasm and we'll see you at the creek!

Really cool Work Party video!

  • weather appropriate clothing to stay warm and dry

Yes, we can accommodate private groups!

We can certainly tailor a work party for private groups to build a meaningful experience for you.  Please review the Private Work Party Information Form.

The Stream stewards PROGRAM is SUPPORTED GENEROUSLY BY THE FOLLOWING DONORS AND OUR MEMBERS WHO BELIEVE there SHOULDn’t be any barriers to take action to help restore habitat for all wildlife in whatcom county.
