Keystone Nature Preschool

Keystone Nature Preschool is a joyful, outdoor-based learning experience for children ages 3–5. We are now enrolling for the 2026–2027 school year. Our program helps little learners thrive academically, physically, and emotionally all while exploring and connecting with the natural world.
A Day at Keystone
Each morning begins in our Salmon Circle, where children gather to greet one another and set the tone for the day. From there, the adventure starts in our outdoor classroom — a place where imagination runs wild and every trail leads to discovery.
Our day will be guided by the interests of the group and grounded in monthly themes like community, seasonal cycles, and animal habitats. Our passionate, trained educators support each child’s natural curiosity, creating a blend of unstructured play, exploration, and learning.
Expect days filled with hands-on science, art, stories, and song — plus exciting field trips to spots like Cornwall Park, Squalicum Beach, and other local treasures.

Location: Keystone Preschool is based
at the beautiful NSEA campus.

Our six-acre campus includes a forest classroom, tree-lined adventure paths, and open fields for large-movement learning.
Dates: September 9, 2026 – June 4, 2027
Schedule: Monday – Thursday,
8:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Tuition: $1,050/month
We will follow Bellingham Public School Calendar (Winter & Spring Breaks).

Keystone Preschool is a licensed, nature-based outdoor program recognized by the Washington Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) and a proud participant in the Early Achievers program — a statewide system recognizing high-quality early learning.
We offer financial assistance through Working Connections Child Care (WCCC) for families who qualify.
