Salmon Mean Business is NSEA’s invitation for local businesses to join us in protecting this shared resource. By sponsoring our public engagement and outreach events, your business supports hands-on restoration, environmental education, and community connection - all while aligning with values that matter to your customers and employees. In exchange, NSEA hase several avenues to show our gratitude for your partenrship.
Why It Matters
For over 30 years, the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association (NSEA) has worked with community members to restore salmon habitat and connect us all to the environment that sustains us. Each year, we reinvest more than $1 million into the local economy through contracts with vendors, consultants, and more - not including our payroll. We’re proud to do business with businesses like yours.

Fish Trivia Night 2/18/26 at Zeeks Pizza & Fountian Brewery 6 pm
A lively, community-focused evening that blends friendly competition with education and connection. This event draws a diverse crowd and offers excellent visibility for participating businesses through event promotion, prizes, and recognition.
Our Annual Community Celebration 4/17/26 at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal 5:30 pm - 8 pm
A signature gathering that celebrates shared accomplishments in salmon recovery. This event brings together supporters, families, partners, and neighbors to honor the work we do together and the watershed that sustain us.
Earth Day Work Party 4/18/26 at Kenney Creek 9 am- 12 pm
A hands-on day of restoration where volunteers roll up their sleeves to care for local waterways. Thanks to our business partners, we will also give away 100 free Earth Day T-shirts - turning stewardship into something visible, wearable, and lasting.
Salmon Sighting events- every weekend in October
There is nothing like seeing salmon live and in-person. To help our community better understand salmon and human impacts on their recovery, NSEA provides meaningful opportunities to interact and see salmon in our local breeks and streams. Ourr nauturalists are on sight to point our salmon and thier behavior so people leave …..
Annual Silent Auction Brunch Gala TBD Sept or Oct - 10 am- 2 pm at the Bellwether Ballroom
This festive daytime gala brings together community members for all the brunch favorites featuring salmon and bottomless mimosas! Of course, all other ditary preferences will be respected, too. Guests enjoy a spirited silent auction, inspiring stories, and plenty of opportunities to mingle, indulge, and raise their bids for healthy watersheds and thriving salmon.
